Reach Records recording artist Trip Lee has a new album dropping April 10, 2012 and in his latest blog post, he talks about what he has been up to, and how excited he is to release a new album. Trip Lee's first album "If They Only Knew" was released in 2006, followed by his second album "20/20" in 2008. 2010 was the year, he dropped "Between Two Worlds". In todays "Latest News" blog, I want to take a minute to move away from music and into the world of clothing. Not just any clothing, but fashion that makes a difference in the world. Recently I was introduced to Sevenly.org, an organization that uses the sales of T-shirts and hoodies to raise capital and awareness for the world's greatest causes. The purpose of Sevenly is to learn the issues that break God's heart, engage with the people who are called to the issue, and create awareness as well as a funding movement that supports them in their efforts. Through their mission and purpose, the vision is to see thousands of lives changed through the efforts that are enabled.According to Sevenly, there are thousands of charities around the world in many different categories. The problem however is a lack of awareness, funding, and following. This is where Sevenly comes into play. Through their movement, capital as well as awareness can be raised for the world's greatest causes. Through the year, Sevenly builds 52 charity T-shirt campaigns, and at the end of each 7 day campaign, they send the charity a check, which combined so far is over $171,000 from over 22,000 tees sold. Recently, Sevenly had partnered with The Voice Project, who have been working with United Nations to build FM radio stations as well as help with the production of broadcast content to let the African children abducted by the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) know that they can come home safely. The LRA is one of the most brutal groups on the planet, and are responsible for abducting over 30,000 children and turning them into child soldiers, raping, maiming, and murdering them.
